learn to ride the bike you have now. as it makes things easier when you go for the big toys also anymore than 2 cylinders and its a waste lol

I personally think that it would probably be more sensible, easier, cheaper both to buy and insure/service/etc to go for a 400 cc bike.
The reason i say this is, I have ridden an unrestricted 32 BHP ZZR400 and a restricted GSXR 750. The GSXR was top heavy, hard to manauver and seriously had the same amount of "get up and go" as the 400, the ZZR was easier to manauver and more fun in general.
I have ridden quite a few unrestricted GSXR's in my time and yeah they are great bikes but they aint Honda's
T_N_W they don't do 400cc anymore and I want a brand new bike
Um yes they do, they are called "grey imports".
Forget a brand new bike too for a while dood, unless you have won lottery or summit?!? Think about the insurance for a start I used to own a CBR400 Gullarm, it was a grey import, meaning it was sold in foriegn markets but not officially sold by dealers in the UK or sometimes European market. You can find specialist 'grey import' dealers. I bought mine from Bat Motorcycles, not sure if they are around anymore. I personaly never buy bikes or cars new, i always buy them when they are 1 - 2 years old, meaning they have been run in and i get all the benifits of the warranty etc at a very large discount.

| If thats the case and you can get insured for under £1000 my advice to you would be to go for the Kawasaki Z750...
Not JUST because its a Kawasaki, i genuinly think it is a better looking bike and will suit you more but its down to personal prefence and what you prefer...
Thats just my opinion but just make sure that your insurance is either Fully Comp or Third Party, Fire & Theft at the very least... DO NOT go for Third Party Only!!!

| My curent Insurer said they will offer third art only because it will be not garaged! but when i'm ready for a new bike I'll see | |

| Then ring another insurance company up... Tell them you have been qouted £900 or whatever your current company have quoted you... But tell them you have been quoted Third Party Fire and Theft... they will either match it or beat it... The trick is to tell them you have already been offered TPF&T and then they will also offer you it... Ring around until you find a company that will do it but it should be relatively easy! | |

| I went from a rs 125 to a blade. then shit myself and went back down to a 750. 1000cc isnt needed as a first bike. Bloody good fun though | |
