Chain cutter joiner???

I have a new chain and both sprockets, I need to break the chain to remove it and then fit the new chain and join it. Can anyone help? I do not have any special tools for this. I can change the sprockets but never done a chain before.

im sure my dad has one. ill let ya know. i saw a guy on telly take swingarm off instead of cutting the chain lol

LOL, That wouldnt work on my bike, the chain go's through the swing arm. Let me know if you got it Cool

mmmmm I bought a chain clamp thingy and fitted my new chain, took it in my alletway for a test, it was fine and then suddenly BANG!! the chain flew off!! VERY VERY LUCKY I wasnt doing anything stupid like attempting a wheelie Shocked

I've ordered a new master link from EK who contacted me from Japan and were real helpful just sending me a new link out, thanks guys Very Happy

looks like the beginnings of a good year for you. keep up with the luck. i had my drive belt come off at speed on the my last bike. no damage but if it was a chain....

i may need to borrow your chain thingy sometime as i was talking to a friend whos uncle works for ktm (the family are austrian). he's getting me an orange chain and black sprockets cheap. looks like im going tarty. lol
