My flip plate fitted to my R1. It works via a switch mouted on the side of the bike.

having a flip plate carries a bigger no no from plod than having no plate. cos you could say the plate just fell off but with the flip they say you went out to willfully break the law! but then everyone breaks the law on the road every day....

How can they say anything if they dont catch you using it??? Last i checked it wasnt illegal as long as your plate is the correct size and on display. You can just say it is for show purposes only... Surely they cant do anything about it unless you are caught in the act?!

being on the road with it fitted, to them is intent to use. because of this 9/10 you don't get off. looking at lots of points and big fine. for the pain they'll give may as well just take the plate off if playing. my plate "fell off" on my scooter and I rode it back from london with feds all over the place. got to 2 miles from home and got tugged by local. just had a producer and that was the end of it, no points no fine. happy days
