After I fitted ebc clutch (friction) plates on my R1, it is slipping worse than ever. I am in between jobs so no round English pounds at the moment and all work is done by myself. However I rang Lamba to see about booking her in and costs etc. The guy on the phone was very helpfull and offered various advice that i went and tried, I ended up test riding and went to Lamba just to look at another R1 settings to see what I've done wrong. The mechanic came out and spent a good 10 minutes with me adjusting my clutch. No hand out for money just good honest advice. Smile This is a perfect example of small business customer care that so many places have forgot about. IF I take his advice and change from EBC to OEM plates I will definately be using Lamba to order my parts etc, I will also go to them to source me a bike for my wife once she has completed her direct access in a couple of weeks.

So, Praise Lamba.

Lambas are shite.

Never had any good experiences with them at all. For example, I went in wanting to buy a new Gixxer on finance, came out with a headach and them trying to fob me off into getting a bike they dont seem to sell many of. They never seem interested in anything else than parting me with my cash. They are all very monotone Neutral if that makes sense...

Also, they tried telling me that the predrilled holes on my old aprilia RS swing arm were not for paddock stand bobbins, but were in fact just holes which served so purpose what so ever. He came out and had a look at the bike, and was still certain he was right. needless to say I bought my paddock stand bobbins , tapped my swingarm and they were perfect + went to one of my race meets and saw every other RS owner had done the same...

Muppets.

I suppose its all about who you speak to on the day.
