my operation

well got there at 12:30 had to wait get asked stupid questions and get in the gowns (very sexy) i saw the Anesthetist who changed her mind and said oh no were going to do a nerve block on you instead of a general which worried me as i didnt want to be awake for this.

just when i thought it was crap the surgeon tells me because its been 2 weeks i might need cutting open. so off i go for this nerve block this jab me in my right hand put in an I.V then start scanning my left arm for the nerve which is my the arm pit. she jabs in some needle turns out its an electric probe and they start electrocuting my nerves and damn this hurt like hell because they were moving it around and catching others

cut a long story short she couldnt find the nerves kept coming out and restabbing me which i felt all off it the student nurse was ment to be putting in increments of 1 each time but done 5 so my arm was filling up all in the wrong places, what should of been a 10min job she said took over an hour!!!!!!!!

i felt it all even when the pins were going in my arm is completely numb dunno when itll come back and im now off of work for 6 weeks now 3 so im screwed for money as i only get £79 a week on ssp

that nurse should have been taken off your case.
having an op when your awake can be fun (ive had 3 on my head) but its a shame yours was tainted by the nurse.
as for your lack of funds, claim loss of earnings off your insurance company. photocopy your sick note and send the copy to them (they will ask). but you have to prove you weren't at fault and prove how much you were earning.
I've been off since october on sick and getting loss of earnings from the 3rd parties insurance direct on what would be my pay day.
