I think this would be a very good addition to the Car Theory Test.

I see SO many drivers on the phone who seem zoned out from the road, its worrying.

on a happier note, loud exhausts do increase driver awareness cheers

Yeh it proves its point... but the if the point is that its difficult to look at peoples t shirts and add up as well as listening to the mrs jabber in my year then its irrelivant because how many people do that???
I dont listen to what the Mrs says at the best of times (joke!!!) and i certainly dont watch the colour of peoples clothes and keep a tally!!

The point im making is that if you didnt have to do anything except have that conversation on the phone, how many of those people crossing the road would you have missed?? The answer is none, you would have seen every one of them...

Like i said it made its point and people shouldnt be talking on the phone anyway when they are driving (even though i am guilty of doing it all the time on the bike with my handsfree)

I think stupid people should just not be allowed to drive full stop... there needs to be a common sense test!!!

@ SINCERE lol! Love it man, I have to agree there should be a 'common sense' test!!! And its true who the hell counts t shirt colours and keeps tally! LOL I know their point its all about being able to concentrate whilst on the phone, well try it with the sound OFF and you should be perfect if the test is accurate. Still a GREAT post!

+1 Kudos Redz

I just tried it again... with the sound off... i concentrated purely on the road... would you believe i COMPLETELY failed the test and missed every question the silly woman asked and i didnt even notice how many red and yellow t shirts there were....
Damn i did even worse than i did when i WASNT concentrating on the road!!

lol! lol! lol! lol!

Great post though!!

lol true points as well, i use my phone while driving as well however i use my bluetooth headset, never that whole wedging it between your shoulder and ear business!
even still, if im on the phone i do feel a bit off on my concentration!

and yeah if only there was a common sense test Adam!!

If there was a common sense test we wouldnt need bus lanes or even the congestion charge as half the people on the road would be stuck on public transport instead.... except there wouldnt be many people to drive the buses as most of them have no common sense either!!!

(No disrespect at any bus drivers in the house lol - Notice i said MOST and not ALL!)
