Hope brakes?? In hindsight that probably was not the best name for brakes was it? Because when i pull the brake in an emergency i dont want to hope it will stop... Lol if they are the best brakes on the market (and british which is very important of course!!) then maybe they should rename them definatelys!!
Dont listen to Redz... he's just upset because he doesnt have a bicycle anymore and the rest of us do... we'll go riding one day and leave him at home...
Carry on lads... all bikes are welcome on this forum lol!!

barry you may be able to help me here, but this Q is open to anyone....
who knows how to wheelie pretty well on mountain bikes?
ive been practising a bit...i know if i can crack it on a mountain bike it'll feel easier when i wanna try it on a motorbike! i can travel about 4-5m using the lowest possible ratio but just find it un-nerving a bit...need help knowing how to keep the bars straight and finding the balance point...and also how high my seat should be...atm its quite high for speed riding where i get the longest stroke.
maybe in the summer, we can get together and try it out!..

ive never been a fan of wheelies as i never managed to go for long but heres afew steps:
lower your seat to the bottom put it in the smallest front chain ring middle rear gear slide to the back of your seat move forward so you dont wobble then as you press forward on the pedal lift the front you dont have to go nuts just do both at the same time and youll feel it lift once your use to this movement pedal abit more so your moving keep the speed up as the slower you go the harder it is to control
once youve got use to that you can start nailing the balance point (i never got there)

that is awesome Barry! i always wanted to try out a road/race bike to find out how fast they really are, but i love my full suspension bike being able to jump steps and go over anything!
check this in the meantime: [its fake btw, its an advert by bicycle company Specialized]
